Here are a collection of free language learning resources. Hope you find them useful and free feel to send me any you might have found.

All Languages

• BBC Languages - Free Courses in French, Spanish, German, Italian, Mandarin, Portuguese, Greek and many more resources. For example, a holiday phrase guide covering more languages than you should ever need.
• word2word.com – A collection of free resources in many different languages. Similar to what I’m building here but no comments on what each is like.

Spanish

• notesinspanish.com - Great video podcasts and learning resources for learning real Spanish quickly and easily. You can trust Ben and Marina to accelerate your Spanish with the stuff you’ll really use!
• studyspanish.com - Excellent resource with heaps of free grammar activities.

Japanese

• Speak Japanese Fast - David shares his fascinating story on how he learned Japanese at an amazing rate thanks to a unique learning approach. He’s so sure it’ll work for you he gives you 21 days to try it out and you don’t see real results in that time… you pay nothing!

Portuguese

• Easy Portuguese - Very good website that teaches the language using its grammar and includes pronunciation help in a nice usable format.
• Brazilian Portuguese - Interesting site explaining grammar and usage. Unfortunately it doesn’t contain audio for the pronunciation.

French

• French Tutorial - Covers verb conjugations and builds the language from the grammar. The downside is the annoying audio that opens in a new window.

Maori

• maori.org.nz - Good information, free language lessons and dictionary.
