This is a website born out of my interest in languages. Currently, I am living in Madrid and learning Spanish. I’ve been learning Spanish for about a year and a half now and have loved nearly every moment of it. I moved to Madrid in September 2006 so I could experience the language properly and don’t regret the decision at all. It has given me a big jump in my learning, despite not being able to communicate sometimes! How am I supporting myself here if I don’t speak Spanish yet? I am teaching English of course. A natural fit for me due to my interest in languages and it has increased my understanding of Spanish as well. So now I am merging my interest in languages with another interest, the internet. Since it is today’s major medium for communication, I figured I could see what it had to offer in the way of learning other languages. I hope the information I can provide can help you in your quest for another language, whatever it may be. While I obviously have a bias towards Spanish, I’ll do my best to give other languages exposure as well. For the record, some other languages I have an interest in at the moment are Portuguese, German, French, and Italian.
